Estate Agent's Show Around
We think that Friday Homes has finally finished everything.
A bunch of corporate 'suits' were prowling around about 11-11.30 this morning. They did not come close enough for me to let them know I can see right into their precious development (luckily). Not the best photo but I can see almost 50% of the central courtyard and right down to the edge near the stream.
Our security cameras will pick anyone up if they try to visit.
I can also see into a room in the right-hand unit.
There are also going to be two low lights on poles so people don't fall off the edge. There is no safety fence so I can spend all summer sitting on my deck watching the comings and goings on Tawhai Street.
The photo doesn't show it but I can see right across the road to the other side where the maniac with his motorbike rides without a helmet up and down the road.
On the plus side. Our tree is already almost as tall as the first floor windows. Within three years there will be a much improved view from our side with a lot more native foliage in the form of Pittosporum Eugenoides, plum and karamou. The plum has thorns I found out * ouch *.
You can see the tree in the middle of this photograph. The tree was planted over two years ago and is adding about a metre a year to its height. Two years from now the windows will be obscured although the sunshine will be nicely dappled. The karamou beside it is a bit slower but by the end of summer will be amother 30 cms higher and a lovely rich green screen.
On the right of the photograph is our taller specimen of Pittosporum (Tui and Silvereyes love them). I have no idea why each of our trees is a different height when they were all planted at the same time and were the same size when Leafland (Palmerston North - fantastic people) delivered them. The left-hand tree (which you can't see) is a full meter and half taller than these!
Within five years we should have the most effective privacy screen, and with our neighbours trees (same types slightly more established) a lovely area of native of bush.
