Scaffolding is Ugly

WoHOO! We now have scaffolding reaching almost three storeys high as they start putting up the walls on the small family housing in kit form (as they were at the dog kennels on Glen Road.) They don't build walls any more they are done offsite.

Even more fun they are working in between the two blocks closest to the top of Glen Road. This area has had a vibrating roller run over it at least three times and the ground level seems to be almost as high as our deck (which is raised off the ground by about 1 metre.

Even more fun we today had workers waiting to start work on the small concreted area between Block D which is beside 10 Tawhai and E, facing us, staring through the large gap in the fencing into our house and garden. What fun! They seem to find it funny but my family certainly doesn't.

More like threatening as the cats refuse to leave the house. This is partly due to the high level of noise from machinery (fair enough) and music (not fair at all). Apparently the urban blight of builders pop music is growing.

I anticipate that we will have the scaffolding facing our gardens before Christmas. Won't that be exciting (just like a visit to the dentist)!
