13 Hawthorne Crescent, Stokes Valley

This property has had the current sign outside it since late 2021 approx. It is now November 2024.

Let me tell you a bit about this lovely 1958 property.  It originally had a miniature model of the house as its post box, sadly taht died through neglect.

Apart from the brick build and totally vintage look of the property which puts it in a league of its own even in Stokes Valley, it was sold for the unbelievable amount of $1,200,000 in 2021.

Either someone likes it a lot or, more likely, combined with next door it makes a big enough property to build a collection like the ugly development at 48 Glen Road, where the water tanks are outside the houses are so tiny.

Although if you check the drone shot from Google the site narrows from a wide front this will not stop developers from squeezing at least 6/8 houses on to the site (unless the Council twists their arm and forces them to add parking spaces.

  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 1 bathroom
  • Two parking spaces (room for double that tbh)
August 2023 it was listed for rent at $650 (which I assume is per week).

Last week I saw a portable office had been moved on to the property next door (15) which means that the property may be about to be demolished. Although this is supposition only at the moment.

Garden Feature

I think you will be impressed by the lovely border at the front (that's for the high jump when the houses are demolished I am sure).

These shrubs and grasses are well established and seeing them go will be tough. There are a lot of trees in front of 15 Hawthorne Crescent )se the drone view) and they will be first to go.
