Closer and Closer

Today (Tuesday) we have two diggers and a lorry shifting gravel all close to the fence with us and the other Glen Road properties. Of course the noise is horrific but the desperate race to build continues at speed. I am not surprised some of the more high end properties have sold up and gone.

Two Diggers and  Lorry

Digger one is working literally a metre from our fence. The only thing keeping it from wrecking our fence and trees is the row of cheap breeze blocks that will (hopefully) support the walls of the properties tt will soon blight our view (until the trees grow a bit).

This building work blight will continue until 2025 I am guessing especially as they might be working at No. 12 as well.

Digger two is working beside number 10 Tawhai Street. near the house you can see in the photo.

Why Don't They Fall into Our Garden?

You can see the orange outline of the breeze block edges in the photo too. Without it the diggers would also wreck the beautiful trees that Urban Plus has undertaken to preserve, although I am not sure Friday Homes likes having to leave the trees, I'm not sure.....

Here you go! Parked overnight literally on the other side of the fence. Aren't Friday Homes just the most courteous of builders (not). There are two doggers, they are old and clanky and they are blighting the lives of anyone unfortunate enough to work from home nearby. Note however, the healthy growth of the Karamu and Pittosporum trees at the front.

You can see the edges with the yellow bobbles below. Fun eh?
