Pipework the Five Year Outlook

The work being done in Tawhai Street is not building work it is drainage/sanitary/water work.

Hutt Council has not told those who live in the properties around the site that the racket is for the huge amount of pipework being installed under the 'development'. This pipe is taller than a man so, no it won't be fitted in half a day. 

In fact they seem to think the local community does not exist and doesn't mind the noise. Maybe some don't. Apparently we have few rights as the development on Glen Road had workers there on Good Friday and I was told the builders can work on Sunday when I queried this with the Council. (Yes it confused me too).

So, the noise of the diggers is in addition to the building work to come.

Timescale for the Site

I worked out that we were told about the 'social housing' development on 22 February 2022. Work did not start until over two years later. (2 years 3 months).

The drainage/sanitary/water work will take at the very least three months and the building two more years (minimum) after that. For Hutt Council to build 19 small homes will have taken almost FIVE YEARS.
